Pascal's Victoire Versus

Pascal's Victoire Versus

Pascal has been a triathlon fan for many years, especially cycling. He rides his bike on a regular basis on Cantal and Puy-de-Dôme roads. Pascal was looking for more comfort and customization and his triathlete friends recommended Victoire so he came and meet us. Pascal is a passionate and inspiring cyclist. He changed his project over time and after a few discussions from a Véloce to a Versus. Shock absorptions was on top of his list of specifications so disc brakes came naturally because it allows to mount larger tires. He was also seduced by studded tires to be able to ride on gravel. His Victoire became a lot more versatile with still the fast handling of a road bike.

Pascal’s Victoire is a road bike which can go onto forest roads sometimes. In order to have a very sporty frame, we chose Columbus HSS serie tubes for the front triangle. The generous diameter and shape of the oversized downtube, added to the T47 bottom bracket allows to obtain a really stiff and fast frame. The chain stays follows the same idea, with a big shape on all the lenght. Fork also comes from Columbus, with the Futura Gravel model. This fork fits as big as 700*38c tires with a shape and weight similar to the road model. Components are mostly europeans, with a Campagnolo groupset, Fizik stem, bars, post and saddle, Hope hubs and Mavic rims. Pascal chooses a subtle paint scheme, with a matte black on the frame, highlighted by the red anodized hubs.

  • Pascal came to the workshop at the end of May to get his made to measure Victoire, and sice then he has already tested it on his favorite roads :

The first time I rode it, I know it was my dream bicycle. It is unique, made especially for me and I already know we will share some intense, quality time. The more I ride it, the more confident I am about my choices. All the Victoire team did a perfect job.
