MICHAEL’S VICTOIRE BELLEVUE
MICHAEL’S VICTOIRE BELLEVUE
THE PROJECT
Michael went into cycling after he competed in triathlon. It has quickly become a way of life, riding his bike both for his daily commuting, the weekly road rides and long distance events like the Chilkoot Born to Ride. He discovered Victoire during one of them :
I was seduced by the timeless style of the object and the quality of the craftmanship. It made me wanted to have MY bike. I wanted it light, comfortable and versatile. The waiting time enabled me to think over my choices and to precise better my needs. The final result is pretty different from my initial demand.
SPECS
With its frame made of Tange Prestige Japan tubing, Michael’s Bellevue is made for long distance rides. The thin tubing combined with the bespoke steel fork improves the filtration of road bumps to reduce the fatigue. The Campagnolo Potenza H11 groupset enables to ride at a high pace while providing a safe breaking in every conditions. The lights are essential when you ride over 200K, that’s why Michael has selected a Supernova set powered by a SON dynamo hub. At last, the Helmut Equipement Manivelle randonneur bag, handcrafted with care in France, enables to carry some food and stuffs.
FIRST RIDE
Before riding the Chilkoot Zéfal Born to Ride - a 1200K ride along the Atlantic Ocean, from Brittany to Basque Country - Michael did his first ride around our workshop. He highlights some qualities that define Victoire bicycles :
The bike is reactive, stable and comfortable. I feel really good on it, it fits me really well.
