Cyclist for many years, Joel rode a Genesis Croix de Fer for his daily commuting. He was looking for a lighter and more reactive bicycle, capable to go off the beaten paths so he contacted us for a Versus project.

The geometry is based on his 2003 Cannondale Six 13 on which he feels comfortable. Joel wanted a carbon fork so we had to use a 44mm headtube. We selected tubing in order to match the headtube style but with a reduced diameter to conserve comfort. To reach the good balance, we used a 31.7mm top tube and a 34.9mm down tube.  The seat tube comes from the Tange Champion range, while chainstays and seatstays are from Columbus. They are bended for a 38mm tire clearance like the Columbus Mud fork.

Joel equipped his bike with a SRAM Force1 groupset with Shimano XTR brakes and Zipp 30 Course Disc wheelset. He shares with us his first feedback :

" The bike is really stable, precise and comfortable. I was surprised how the SRAM Force1 groupset is easy to use. It is really adapted to my riding. "
