Guillaume's Victoire Versus

Guillaume's Victoire Versus

Guillaume rides a bike since his childhood :

I started by racing in BMX from I was 7 to 14. Then I went into MTB, first in XC and now in all-mountain and enduro. Each year, with a group of friends, we ride across a mountain range. We already did the Alps, the Lubéron and next year it will be Les Vosges.

He discovered Victoire in some MTB magazines, and has liked the philosophy of our creations :

I am fond of local production and craftmanship. I was also looking for a timeless object that will follow me for a longtime.

The project

Guillaume initially ordered a MTB, but his needs evolved through the months. He finally chose a Versus, a more versatile bike to ride both on roads and paths.

I was looking for a simple bike I can ride everywhere. I mainly go for 2 or 3 hours rides, mixing bike lanes, unpaved roads and some singletracks. I love mountain biking but it is really demanding in maintenance. With my Victoire, I just do a quick cleaning and it is ready for the next ride. I also wanted a comfortable bike for long rides, with a perfect position. I found it on my Victoire and it is magical !

Guillaume’s frame is made of  Columbus Zona tubing, with 12mm Syntace dropouts and Flatmount brakes. Our client went for the internal routing option, for a perfect clean style of the frame, as well as mud and rack eyelets.

The build was made by his local shop : SRAM Force 1 HRD groupset, Hope 20Five and Thomson parts.

First rides

I really feel one with the bike ; hands on the hoods or in the drop, the position is really good. It is a pleasure to ride it ! The bike weight 9kg in this configuration. In the future, I would like to go again through some mountain ranges I went with my MTB, but by the small and unpaved roads, in bikepacking.
