George's Victoire De Ville

George's Victoire De Ville

THE PROJECT

Every single Victoire is unique and has its own story. This is the story of this Victoire made for the city and his owner George : Since 2014 George was the happy owner of a Victoire, which has unfortunately been stolen in 2016. He was feeling too nostalgic about it so despite the long waiting time, he decided to get a new one, a little bit more suitable for his needs, now more urban oriented.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

George’s new Victoire has traded its road handlebar for a raised one and a new position much more suitable for an urban use, its 700c wheels for 650B ones with wide tires, its derailleurs for an integrated gear hub, the chain became a belt and an integrated luggage rack was added to obtain a very efficient bike for commuting in the city. The front hub from Son, made in Germany, powers the Supernova’s front and rear lighting. Cables are internally guided through the frame tubes and rear luggage rack. Bottom bracket unit and head tube comes from Chris King as usual, and all the other components have been chosen for their reliability and simplicity. The paint is a beautiful grey, and the Brooks saddle matches the belt from Carbon Gates. George has now taken delivery of his new Victoire and he hailed the manufacturing quality and finishes. At ease on every field, he wants to ride his Victoire for commuting as well as roaming travels or even in the countryside’s gravels of Lille.
